Breakfast with Congregant Elena Antonetti

Reserve your spot to hear congregant Elena Antonetti speak about her grandmother Nerry Berman's memoir, "I'll Go on Living". From Elena: After a decade in handwritten notebooks, my grandmother Nerry Berman's powerful memoir has finally found its voice. Thanks to my son Benjamin Antonetti's determination not to let her memories fade, what began as forgotten pages became a four-generation family collaboration.

"I'll Go on Living" chronicles the extraordinary journey of two Jewish families surviving the rise of the USSR, WWII, and the brutal realities of 20th-century Ukraine and Russia. It tells how Nerry's path intertwined with Joseph Berman, a young soldier forever changed by four years on the Eastern Front. This memoir is both deeply personal and historically vital—a testament to survival, resistance, and the unwavering human will to choose life even in the darkest times. Every family story lost is a piece of history that disappears forever. Immigration stories and Jewish history matter. Our voices deserve to be heard. The book is available on Amazon.
